About Us

Rob Lemmon

Rob is the owner of Maritime DayTripping. He has spent his entire life enjoying the outdoors, and his entire 20+ year career teaching people how to enjoy outdoor adventure activities.  He is an Adjunct Instructor at Washington County Community College in Calais Maine in their Adventure Recreation & Tourism Program.


Rob is certified to instruct in every aspect of canoe, sea kayak, stand-up paddleboard and whitewater kayaking for Paddle Canada ,  including being the only certified Coastal Canoe Instructor & Sea Kayak Instructor-Trainer in NB and the only Instructor-Trainer in the Big Canoe east of Alberta. He is the the Senior Swiftwater Rescue Instructor for Rescue Canada , and also a certified climbing instructor with the Professional Climbing Instructors Association , a certified Wilderness First Aid Instructor, a National Lifeguard Service Pool & Waterfront Instructor/Examiner, CANSI Telemark Ski Instructor, Cross Country Ski Coach with CCC, and certified with the Canadian Avalanche Association.   


Rob has volunteered many years as the Board member on  Paddle Canada representing New Brunswick, helped the develop canoe and kayaking curriculum for programs across Canada, been on the executive for CanoeKayakNB ,  volunteers with York Sunbury Ground Search & Rescue , occasionally assist with coaching his kids cross-country skiing with Wostawea in Fredericton, and is on the Board of Directors for Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark  .

Alex Reid - Special Projects & Programming Coordinator



Hi, my name is Alex Reid, and I am a 2010 graduate of the Adventure Leadership program at New Brunswick Community College, St. Andrews. I grew up on the shores of the Bay of Fundy, which has fueled my passion for the outdoors my entire life. Since graduating, I have spent time as a wilderness instructor in British Columbia, and New Brunswick. I have 5+ years experience working with youth of all ages, and enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for the outdoors with everyone who will listen. I am a certified Canoe Tripping instructor through Paddle Canada as well as an Introduction to Sea Kayaking Instructor. I am excited to be working with DayTripping NB to learn more about the outdoors and share my experience with others.



Amanda Harrington - Paddling/Rock Climbing Instructor




Amanda has been working contracts for Daytripping since our beginning. She is a graduate of the New Brunswick Community College - St. Andrews' Adventure Leadership program, and is currently finishing up her Bachelor of Recreation & Sports Studies at UNB Fredericton. Amanda serves the Executive of CanoeKayakNB , and is a Paddle Canada Lake Canoe Instructor, Canoe Tripping Instructor, Stand-Up Paddleboard Instructor and Sea Kayak Instructor and has her Level 3 Sea Kayak Skill. She is also a Canoe Kayak Canada Level 2 Whitewater Kayak Instructor/Leader. Amanda is scheduled to deliver a few Paddle Canada programs in 2014.
