Rob Lemmon is the Senior Swiftwater Rescue Instructor in Atlantic Canada for Rescue Canada. Rob has been teaching Swiftwater Rescue for over 20 years. He has taught to Colleges/Universities, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Parks Canada, Nova Scotia Power to name a few.

NOTE - All adventure activities involve some risk. There is always the possibility of injury. All rentals and DayTripping activities and Courses require participants to sign a liability release waiver BUT all participants should assume risk for participating in the adventure.

Here is a list of Swiftwater Rescue Courses we deliver:

Swiftwater Flood Rescue Technician 1 = Safety/Awareness

Understanding moving water.  Hazard awareness and avoidance. Simple, shore based safety and rescue skills in Low Risk Swiftwater Environments. 

 2 Options -

  • 1-day on water + e-learning = $205/person + HST

  • 1 day (-class,-water) = $205/person + HST


Swiftwater Flood Rescue Technician 2 = Operations

Self and team mate rescue. Shore and water based and simple and compound rope and tethered swiftwater Safety and Rescue Operational tasks in lower-moderate risk swiftwater environments. Knowing your limits in this river risk environments. Includes Tech 1.

 2 Options -

  • E-learning plus 2 days in the water =  $375/person + HST

  • First 1/2 day in the class, 1.5-days in the river = $375/person + HST


Swiftwater Flood Rescue Technician 3 = Standard

Introduction to profiling and technical, horizontal aquatic rope access.  Shore and swim based. Complex rope and un-tethered Tech Safety and Rescue Protocols in Moderate risk swiftwater environments.  Includes Tech 2.

2 Options -

  • E-learning plus 3 days in the water =  $490/person + HST

  • 3-days Total - First 1/2 day in the class, 2.5-days in the river = $490/person + HST


Swiftwater Flood Rescue Technician 4 = Advanced

Introduction to more complex, Advanced Swiftwater Safety and Rescue Protocols including rope, boat and swim applications in potentially higher risk, limited access, swiftwater environments. Tech 3 is a prerequisite.

4 Days + 1 Night Exercise = $610/person


We can provide a full package of personal equipment, including drysuit, helmet, and Lifejacket.
